We are all about quality. We use 100% Native VT White Cedar. Our beds are NOT mass produced. We make them here in our shop, using equipment both my grandfather and father used. Unlike like other companies, we use a double rail on each side for added strength and durability.The rails and posts we use are 3"- 4 1/2". The dowel on the rails are 2".  Our material is made with peeled logs, NOT milled lumber, to ensure a well constructed product. We buy our cedar rails locally, right here in Vermont. (Usually within 15 miles) We then peel,sand,cut,and dowel them. We don't out source any of our work. We take pride in offering you these high quality beds, at the lowest price we can offer.One thing to remember about our beds, they are BUILT IN VERMONT, BY VERMONTERS! ***Our log beds are made to accommodate a box spring.*********  The wood is dry, but we can't guarantee it won't check or crack. This is not milled uniform material.
